Level Assessment: Advanced (C1 – Developing Control)

You demonstrate a strong command of English, particularly in listening and comprehension. You are able to understand complex spoken language naturally and follow real-world content, including movies and interviews, without reliance on subtitles.

In conversation, you communicate ideas clearly and can engage in meaningful discussions on a variety of topics. Your vocabulary and overall fluency allow you to express yourself effectively.

It is important to highlight that this level of proficiency is rare in Brazil.
Studies indicate that only about 5% of Brazilians have any knowledge of English, and approximately 1% of the population speaks it fluently.

This means you are already operating at a level that places you well above the vast majority of learners.

At this stage, the main area for development is consistency and control in spoken production. While your understanding is advanced, your speech may occasionally include hesitation, imprecise phrasing, or structures that feel slightly unnatural. You are able to recognize mistakes when they are pointed out, but not always in real time.

This places you at an advanced level with developing accuracy and automaticity. With focused training, you can achieve greater precision, confidence, and natural expression in your spoken English.
